Debra Zimmer, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has over 18 years of nursing experience including emergency room, medical/surgical, geriatrics, home healthcare, hospice and nursing education. Debra obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1998 from McKendree College in Louisville, KY. She went on to complete a master’s degree in 2001 in nursing from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. Debra practiced internal and family medicine at St. Catherine’s Regional Hospital as well as family medicine within the American Health Network practice. Before joining Floyd Memorial, Debra worked as a nurse practitioner for Kings Daughter Hospital in the emergency room. She has a professional membership with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time, Debra enjoys horseback riding and spending time in nature.
