Wound Healing Center Welcomes Syed Ahmed, DPM

Joining the multi-disciplinary team of specialists at Floyd Memorial’s Wound Healing Center is Syed Ahmed, DPM. Dr. Ahmed is a board certified Foot and Ankle Surgeon, with additional certifications in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. He received his undergraduate degree and residency training from Loyola University in Chicago.

Floyd Memorial’s Wound Healing Center offers a multi-disciplinary team of medical professionals including a physiatrist, internal medicine physicians, surgeons, podiatrists and certified wound ostomy nurses. The Center also offers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), in which patients breathe 100 percent oxygen inside a pressurized chamber, increasing circulation and blood oxygenation, which helps wounds heal faster.

Wound Healing Center Opening Satellite Location in Corydon

The Floyd Memorial Wound Healing Center is expanding its services by opening a satellite location in Corydon, beginning in October 2010. The Center will be located at 1995 Edsel Lane, NWin Corydon. Daryl Potter, DPM, a board certified podiatrist at the Wound Healing Center located on the Floyd Memorial campus in New Albany, will see patients at the Corydon location on Wednesday mornings.
