Floyd Memorial Introduces Massage Therapy Services

July 9, 2010

Massage therapy is a powerful tool for alleviating pain, stretching muscles to promote healing and decreasing recovery time post-surgery. Floyd Memorial’s Rehabilitation Services offers massage therapy services at its 1700 State Street location, through the expertise of a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist. Patients can choose from Swedish, deep tissue or injury massage, all targeting different areas and offering different benefits.

Swedish massage is used to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Deep tissue massage targets severe tension in the muscles and the connective tissue, while injury massage is a technique of deep tissue that targets areas specific to injury or illness.

The cost is $35 for 30 minutes or $60 for an hour. To schedule an appointment, call (812) 948-7416.
