Carolyn Day, MD, FACS, is a board certified general surgeon. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State in 1994, and her medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in 1999, where she graduated first in her class. Dr. Day completed her internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Louisville Medical Center in 2004. She then practiced with Kentuckiana Surgical Specialists in Louisville until joining the McCullough, Hutchinson & Day General Surgery practice in New Albany in 2009, and joining Floyd Memorial Medical Group-Surgery in 2011. Dr. Day is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of General Surgeons, the Society of Gastrointestinal & Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons. She enjoys running, travel and spending time with her family, including her husband; Adam, and two children; Madison and Zachary.
