Dr. Cooke is a board certified Family Medicine physician. She graduated from Indiana University in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and in 1995 with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. In 1997, she received an additional master’s degree in Health Maintenance from the American University of the Caribbean, where she went on to receive her medical degree in 2000. She then completed her internship and residency training in Family Medicine at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana in 2003. Dr. Cooke is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Indiana Academy of Family Practice, the Floyd County Medical Society, and is on the Choices for Women board of directors. In her free time, she enjoys singing and spending time with her family, including William, her husband of 42 years, her sons Brian, a chemist, and William Jr., who is also a physician in Austin, Indiana, and her seven grandchildren.
