Floyd Memorial Medical Group-Surgery

Ashley Lankford, MD, FACS, is a board certified general surgeon and bariatric surgeon. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University Louisville in 1991, where she also received her medical degree in 1997. Dr. Lankford completed her internship and residency in general surgery at the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia in 2002, where she also completed an additional rotation in breast oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She started her own practice, Lankford Surgical Associates, PLLC, in New Albany in 2002, and completed training on the Realize gastric band in Prague, Czech Republic in 2007. She became Medical Director of the Floyd Memorial Weight Management Center in 2008, and joined the Floyd Memorial Medical Group-Surgery in 2011. Dr. Lankford is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. She enjoys running, yoga, travel and spending time with her husband; Scott, and her dogs; Dixie and Lucy, and cats; Floyd and Apple.
