Dr. Rao is a board certified Neurologist. He graduated from the University of Louisville in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, in 2000 with a master’s degree in Neuroscience and in 2003 with a medical degree. He completed his residency at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in Internal Medicine and Neurology in 2007, where he also went on to complete fellowships in EEG/Epilepsy in 2008 and Sleep Medicine in 2009. Prior to joining the Floyd Memorial Medical Group-Neurology in 2011, Dr. Rao was the Advisory Dean and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where his specialties included epilepsy and sleep medicine. In his free time, he enjoys music, soccer and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
