History

In 1983, Dr. Kevin Hollis was the first of the Cardiovascular Associates of Southern Indiana providers to begin providing cardiology services in Floyd county. Shortly after, Drs. Carl Dillman and Bapineedu Gondi soon followed. As their practice grew and they began seeing patients not just from Floyd county, but the whole Southern Indiana region, the practice began offering clinics at satellite locations. Today, they have clinic locations in Paoli, Salem, Charlestown, Corydon and Scottsburg to make getting to the doctor more convenient for their patients. In addition to the expanded locations, the practice increased the number providers. Dr. Srini Manchi joined in 2001, Dr. Naveen Dev joined in 2006 and Dr. Surender Sandella joined in 2011.

Cardiovascular Associates of Southern Indiana has proudly brought several firsts to Floyd Memorial and the patients they serve including the first to implant pacemakers and defibrillators, the first cath lab was opened at Floyd Memorial as a joint effort between the hospital and physicians and they were instrumental the startup of the cardiovascular surgery program at Floyd Memorial.
