Description:
Teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat cardiac arrest and choking in adults and children; how to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children; and rescue breathing with and without barrier devices. Cost: $25 for the course and $12.50 for the required manual. If participant also signs up for Infant Heartsaver, cost for both is $40 plus manual. Cash, check or charge accepted. Participants must pay for the class and pick up the required manual in the Floyd Memorial’s Education and Training Department prior to the class.
