Violent Crime Response Team
The Floyd Memorial Emergency Department also houses the Forensic Program and Sexual Assault and Violent Crime Response Team. It is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals within the hospital, community agencies and counseling services including
- A board-certified emergency medicine physician with training in both adult and pediatric evaluations
- Forensic nurse examiners
- A forensic technician
- Law enforcement
- Prosecution
- Social service support
Our program offers 24-hour services with a nurse who can answer questions or direct your concerns to the appropriate professional. Anyone who has a concern that an adult or child has been sexually or physically abused, should call 812-948-7484.
In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1 for your local law enforcement agency or come to the Emergency Department at Floyd Memorial.
