Radiation Oncology

Floyd Memorial’s Radiation Oncology Services is located in the lower level of the Cancer Center of Indiana. Radiation Oncology offers a wide variety of radiological, diagnostic and treatment services to patients in need of specialized cancer treatments.

Our certified oncology nurse meets regularly with our patients, their families and their physicians. A certified medical dosimetrist and physicist also work closely with radiation oncologists to design and supervise individualized treatment programs.

Certified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, we have many technologies to aid the treatment process, such as

  • Advanced Acculoc® technology for prostate cancer treatment
  • Mammosite® therapy for breast cancer treatment
  • Siemens ONCOR linear accelerator
  • A CT/Simulator and 3D treatment planning computer

By receiving radiation treatments at the Cancer Center of Indiana, the patient remains in the same convenient location that also provides adjunct chemotherapy treatments and diagnostic services.
