Radiation Oncology

Floyd Memorial’s Radiation Oncology Services is located in the lower level of the Cancer Center of Indiana. Here we offer a wide variety of radiological, diagnostic and treatment services to patients in need of sophisticated, specialized cancer treatments. In order to maintain consistent care, our certified oncology nurse meets regularly with our patients, their families and their physicians. A certified medical dosimetrist and physicist also work closely with radiation oncologists to design and supervise individualized treatment programs.

Certified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, we offer advanced Acculoc® technology for prostate cancer treatment, a Siemens ONCOR linear accelerator, a CT/Simulator and 3D treatment planning computer complement our state-of-the-art Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) treatment program. These technologies allow the delivery of increased radiation doses to tumor sites safely and effectively. In addition, the patient remains in the same location that provides adjunct chemotherapy treatments and diagnostic services. This provides convenience in treatment for all our patients’ necessary cancer care. To schedule a tour of our facilities or for an appointment, please call 812-945-4000.
