The Floyd Memorial Joslin Diabetes Center is hosting a free in-service for school personnel, including teachers, nurses, health aides, volunteers and others, on how to help students who have diabetes.
The topics that will be discussed are insulin, low and high blood sugars, monitoring, nutrition and insulin pens and pumps. This will help school personnel to understand the needs of students with diabetes and how to help them appropriately manage their diabetes daily and in emergency situations.
This event will take place Wednesday, August 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Floyd Memorial Paris Health Education Center. Boxed meals will be provided.
