McCormick Appointed Chairman of the Floyd Memorial Board of Trustees

February 5, 2014

The Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services’ Board of Trustees announces that Marc J. McCormick, CPA, has been appointed board chairman.

McCormick joined the Floyd Memorial Board of Trustees in February, 2008.  He is a certified public accountant who has been with Rodefer Moss for 37 years and is currently an officer of the firm. He is president of the Ed Endres Boys & Girls Club of New Albany and a treasurer and board member of Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Catholic Church and School. McCormick and his wife, Nancy, reside in Floyds Knobs with their two children; Amy and Marc.

For the past seven years, Jerrol (Jerry) Z. Miles, a banker who has served on numerous boards in addition to the Floyd Memorial Board of Trustees, served as chairman of the Board since his appointment in 2007.  Miles has been instrumental in helping the hospital achieve numerous goals from financial initiatives to the recruitment of Mark Shugarman, President and CEO of Floyd Memorial.

“We can’t thank Mr. Miles enough for his contributions to Floyd Memorial,” said Mark Shugarman.  “He is a strong leader who has guided us through the development and execution of two strategic plans, and has challenged us as leaders to think outside the box as we navigate the changing healthcare environment.”  Miles is midway through his second, four-year term on the Board of Trustees.
