Floyd Memorial Warms Hearts and Feet with Annual Sock Drive

November 29, 2012

Now through December 14, Floyd Memorial Hospital associates are having a sock drive to help local children stay a little warmer this winter season.  Many kids have no choice but to go to school in sub-zero weather without socks.  Floyd Memorial wants to offer some comfort and warmth to those in need.  There are drop-off boxes in several areas throughout the hospital, located at 1850 State Street in New Albany, as well as all outlying Floyd Memorial facilities.

Last year Floyd Memorial associates and friends collected over 1,800 pairs of socks which were given to several local schools, a youth shelter and women’s shelter. Your help is needed to meet or beat that number this year. Please consider donating any size, new socks to one of our drop boxes through December 14.
