Floyd Memorial Steroid Injections Not Affected by Meningitis Outbreak

October 15, 2012

Floyd Memorial Hospital would like all of our patients and their loved ones to know that we are NOT affected by the recent meningitis outbreak linked to contaminated steroid injections.  The contaminated injections came from the New England Compounding Center (NECC), which Floyd Memorial has never used as a supplier.  Steroid injections at Floyd Memorial have been sourced by Pharmacia and Upjohn manufacturers, which are unaffected by the outbreak.
