Colon cancer is a disease that all too many Southern Indiana residents have been personally touched by.  As part of its Healthier Community Initiative (HCI), the Floyd Memorial Foundation recently found that the incidence of colon cancer is particularly high in our community.  In an effort to combat this devastating disease and encourage early detection, HCI will offer 100 free colon cancer screening kits to the community between Monday, November 21, and Wednesday, November 23.  The kits are available for pick-up on a first come, first serve basis at the Floyd Memorial Cancer Center of Indiana, located at 2210 Green Valley Road in New Albany. Results will be mailed within seven to 10 days of receiving the recipient’s sample.
