On Saturday, November 12, Floyd Memorial’s Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate and Wound Healing Center will host a Free Diabetes Fair and Foot Screening. The event will feature free foot screenings, blood sugar, hemoglobin A1C and blood pressure screenings, at a total value of over $300. One-on-one consultation with a Certified Diabetes Educator will be offered to those with concerning results. Booths offering information on a variety of diabetes-related topics, including weight management, sleep conditions and wound healing/prevention will also be available.
Participants are asked to avoid wearing pantyhose, as shoes and socks must be removed for the screenings.
