Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia and ensuring their safety and well-being can be a truly daunting task. Floyd Memorial Home Health Care, Floyd Memorial Medical Group-Neurology and the Alzheimer’s Association of Southern Indiana and Kentucky have teamed up to lend a helping hand by offering a free breakfast program given by Neurologist/Sleep Specialist Satish Rao, MD, MS, entitled “Dementia & Sleep-Related Hallucinations.” The program will be held at the Hospital’s Paris Health Education Center on Thursday, November 10 from 8 to 10 a.m., with complimentary breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. and the presentation at 8:30 a.m.
Satish Rao, MD, MS, is a board certified Neurologist/Sleep Specialist with the Floyd Memorial Medical Group-Neurology in New Albany. He will discuss sleep-related hallucinations in patients with dementia and provide helpful tips for caregivers and loved ones dealing with the disease. A question and answer session with Dr. Rao, a Floyd Memorial Home Health Care nurse and Alzheimer’s Association educators will follow the presentation.
