New Albany, IN – Join the Floyd Memorial Foundation October 15, 2011 for the second annual “Highway to Health” Motorcycle Ride. The 100 mile ride through southern Indiana will start at the Cancer Center of Indiana in New Albany with stops at Floyd Memorial sites in Salem and Corydon.
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast provided by Chick-fil-A. The ride will depart at 11 a.m. The cost is $20 per rider or $30 for rider plus a passenger. Waivers and payment will be accepted the morning of the event. After riders return, there will be refreshments with entertainment provided by Kevin Braun and band.
“We’re excited about this event. Last year 75 motorcyclists turned out for the event and we hope to have even more motorcycle enthusiasts this year,” said Ruth Heideman, Executive Director of the Floyd Memorial Foundation. “All dollars raised go back into funding health related causes such as the Healthier Community Initiative that provides free screenings and operating grants for the Family Health Center of Floyd County that provides primary health care to those who are uninsured or underinsured.”
The event is sponsored by Centra Credit Union, Hall Render, The Hartfield Company, Uyoe MD and Chick-fil-A in New Albany and Veteran’s Parkway.
Registration is encouraged. To register, call 1-800-4-SOURCE (1-800-476-8723) or go online at www.floydmemorial.com/events.
