Internal Medicine physicians Daniel Anderson, MD and Latchaiah Chirumamilla, MD, are encouraging patients to know their risk for heart disease by hosting a free comprehensive heart assessment at their new offices located at 1101 North Jim Day Road, Suite 107A on Saturday, February 12 from 8 to 10 a.m. Registration is required by calling 1-800-4-SOURCE (1-800-476-8723).
The screening involves a simple finger-stick. The sample is processed and supplies the screener with the participant’s full lipid profile including HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), triglycerides (fat levels in the blood stream), and blood sugar. Additionally, the screener will take the participants blood pressure and Body Mass Index (BMI) measurement. All these scores are used to determine the participant’s risk for heart disease and stroke.
Once the screening portion is complete, the participant will meet one-on-one with a nurse. The consultation will include an explanation of the participant’s screening scores, evaluate their risk for heart disease and stroke, and discuss steps for improving or retaining a heart healthy lifestyle.
Space is limited so schedule your appointment today by calling 1-800-4-SOURCE (1-800-476-8723).
