Floyds Knob’s Elementary Student Donates Kool-Aid Stand Earnings to Floyd Memorial’s Foundation

August 18, 2009

A Kool-Aid or lemonade stand is a great entrepreneurial experience for an elementary student – and while the proceeds may not be huge, sometimes a small gesture can be worth a lot. Floyds Knob’s Elementary third grader, Naomi Campbell proved that a $3.48 donation could indeed spark enthusiasm and giving for Floyd Memorial’s Women’s Center.

The donation found its way to the Floyd Memorial Foundation Board, and each member matched the donation with a $5 contribution. Now the Foundation is challenging others to step forward to match Naomi’s donation. The contributions will be used to provide bedding, clothing, formula and other layette items to babies who are born at Floyd Memorial and have a need for such necessities.

“Naomi’s Campaign” is currently accepting donations. If you would like to match Naomi’s contribution, please contact the Floyd Memorial Foundation at 812-949-5803.
